Project Phases
In 2019, EPRI jumped in the Safety by Design area by co-hosting a workshop with FirstEnergy at one of their sites in Ohio. Phase 1 followed in 2020-2021 was successful, leading to the launch of Phase 2 in 2022-2023, followed by Phase 3 in 2024. The objective of Phase 3 is to continue to advance the understanding and use of SbD in the electric power industry, in line with the multi-year, multi-phase plan identified during Phase 1.
Planned 2024 Tasks and Updates
In 2024, we have arranged an in-person meeting, hosted by LCRA. The intent of this meeting is to review all the learnings during phase 1 and phase 2, followed by presentations from the members how SbD has been incorporated into their day-to-day functions. We expect to see additional project calls in the second half of 2024.
