Planned Tasks and Updates

The SSR project is unique and brings its own challenges. Familiar tasks are repeated annually, like the reoccurring meetings and development of the resource guide (aka the Black Book and Field Guide). New areas of R&D are explored based on feedback from the participants including “A Day in the Life” which is a first-person video documentation, capturing the experiences of various crew members, to bridge the knowledge gap between field operations and control room procedures. As well as the Focus of the Month which takes critical topics and develops a one-pager for members to use, share and review against their existing people, processes and technologies.

Annual Workshop

For over a quarter of a century, the SSR project has been hosting an annual conference to bring interested parties together for discussions on a myriad of topics. The 30th Annual EPRI Switching Safety and Reliability Workshop will be held at EPRI Lenox Lab on October 19 – 21, 2026.

This event is open to all EPRI members (a registration fee applies to non-project funders) and we hope you can join us. More information, including the link to register for the conference, will be provided above in the Calendar or Events section when it becomes available.
